Our Tugs are not designed for chewing and are not suitable for unsupervised play.
Unsupervised play may result in a dog chewing off pieces of fabric and swallowing them. This can cause a blockage that could make your dog seriously/critically ill.
If you suspect your dog has consumed pieces of fabric please contact your Vet immediately for advice
Tug Toys should be put away in a location your dog can not access them when you are not home.
Please play safe and only tug in side to side motions. Dogs naturally shake their heads (death shaking) side to side not up and down, by tugging up and down your dog may injure its' neck or back.
Please do not tug with dogs who are carrying injuries or having spinal problems.
Tugging (human holding and tugging) isn't suitable for puppies as their mouths are changing with their growth, they are also teething which can be painful.
You can allow your puppy to play with a tug but don't tug on it yourself, allow the puppy to choose how it would like to pull or play with it. Do not allow your puppy to chew the tug or allow puppy access to the toy unsupervised.
